Creating Silicone Wounds
Seattle, WA
Step into the world of special effects makeup with our introductory course on silicone prosthetics and small half-face masks at Reynolds Advanced Materials. This course is structured to guide beginners through the entire process of creating and applying small-scale SFX prosthetics. Divided into focused sections, attendees will learn to craft everything from simple wounds to more complex facial prosthetics like false noses, snouts, muzzles, expressive brows, and horns. Each participant will also tackle half-face masks, learning techniques for sculpting, molding, pigmenting, casting, and encapsulating silicone. Through a combination of demonstrations, examples, and hands-on activities, this course offers a comprehensive foundation in transforming appearances using prosthetics.
