This class is meant to be for people who are interested in learning how to make their own silicone masks. We will go over the types of clay available and how to choose the right one according to your specific design and materials. We will cover the steps to make a rigid epoxy 2-part mold, create vents, cast the piece and how to properly patch the silicone piece. If you want to take this class, you must have taken our basics of mold making and casting seminar or have experience in mold making.
Event Details
Important: Must be 18 years or older to participate. In demonstrating techniques for mold making and casting, we emphasize safety and provide adequate ventilation in our classroom. However, we use materials that may affect certain individuals. If you are pregnant, suffer from breathing disorders (such as asthma) or are sensitized to urethane or epoxy resins, you should not take this class.
