Theodore Roosevelt – Rides Again

Reynolds Advanced Materials in Dallas has a behind the scenes look at the new addition to the Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C.

Washington D.C. native artist Joanna Blake has been working on sculpting the 26th President, Teddy Roosevelt on horseback for the Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C. Joanna, once done sculpting, contacted Schaefer Art Bronze (SAB) in Arlington, Texas. The company has been given the task of molding and casting the statue. SAB has been working closely with Al, Reynolds – Dallas’s outside sales rep on the project. The team found that Smooth-On’s Brush-On urethane rubber would be the best product for the project. Currently, the statue is going through the mold making process. Once completed, the statue will be cast in bronze, and be transported back to D.C where it will stand tall in front of Roosevelt High School welcoming students, faculty, and parents.

All Reynolds USA locations will be closed from 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 24th - Wednesday, December 25th in observance of Christmas. Resuming normal operations on Thursday, December 26th.
